Andhra Pradesh National Health Mission (NHM} signed a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) for India of Delhi for strengthening the health system by conducting various capacity building initiatives of healthcare workers in the state.

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh National Health Mission (NHM} signed a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) for India of Delhi for strengthening the health system by conducting various capacity building initiatives of healthcare workers in the state.

Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare, NHM director J Nivas, ECHO India Associate Vice President Dr Sandepp Bhalla participated in this signing programme at Mangalagiri on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sandepp Bhalla said that this was the milestone partnership which will go a long way for helping various health programmes in getting impactful and tangible outcomes in AP State and ECHO India will give virtual training freely on various health aspects for all health programmes. Prior to this, the ECHO India team met Principal Secretary, Health Medical & Family Welfare, MT Krishna Babu.

During the meeting, Krishna Babu assured that the Govt of Andhra Pradesh was ready to support wholeheartedly for this landmark partnership as per MoU. He felt happy to enter into this MoU for strengthening the health system in AP. NHM State Programme officer Dr LBSH Devi,ECHO Deputy Manager Deepa Jaa and others were present.
