Referring to the preparations to the elections, the CEO said that 75 election observers and 13 police observers have been appointed in the State. "Additional Director General of Police-level officers are appointed as police observers," he added.

The CEO said that one general observer and two police observers would be pressed into service for every two Lok Sabha constituencies in the State. Likewise, one general observer would be appointed for every three Assembly constituencies, he said.

The political parties and the general public could directly lodge complaints with the observers if they come across any problems, he said.Stating that the electoral rolls are in order, the CEO said that it was not proper to cast aspersions over including the names of new voters.
