Eluru: Perupalem Beach Festival on Feb 15, 16

Eluru: District Collector R Muthyala Raju has directed the officials to make foolproof arrangements for successful conduct of the Perupalem Beach festival on February 15 and 16.
At a review meeting of the Tourism Department, Collector Raju instructed the officials to coordinate with other departments and evolve plans to conduct the festival in a grand manner. Top priority should be given for arranging fun-filled programmes to make the event memorable for the participants. Particularly, children should be involved in the programmes.
The District Collector directed the tourism officials to establish coordination with Police, Fire Revenue, Electricity, Fisheries, DRDA and other departmental officials and take their suggestions and inputs before finishing the arrangements. Besides organizing programmes that entertain visitors, exhibition and sale of different products and setting up of stalls should be taken up in a big way. Parking facility, VIP visit planning, vigilance by professional swimmers along sea coast, dais, seating for visitors and VIPs should be planned in advance, he suggested.
The District Collector also instructed the officials to book rooms for stay of VIPs apart from registration of identity of sellers at the festival spot.
