Female voters outnumber men in Vizag district
2,17,694 new voters enrolled their names in the electoral list
Visakhapatnam: Over two lakh voters enrolled their names in the district against 2014 electoral list.
With the finalisation of the electoral lists, a total of 35,78,458 voters have their right to cast their vote in the 2019 general elections.
While the number is 33,60,764 only during the 2014 elections.
In 2014 general elections, there is no big response from people to register their names in the electoral lists.
However, this time as many as 89,148 youth aged between 18-19 have registered their names in the electoral lists.
According to official statistics, the district has 18,02,631 female voters and 17,75,630 male voters.
The total population of the district is 46,95,952 including 23,53,783 female and 23,42,169 male.
There are 394 overseas voters and 197 third gender voters in the electoral lists followed by 6,158 services voters.
