Visakhapatnam: Using flash mob as an awareness creating tool, Scouts and Guides organised 'Swacchta hi Seva' programme and urged the passengers to say 'no' to single use plastic. Later, they also performed Nukkad Natak, delivering a green message.

The flash mob aimed at spreading awareness about ban on single use plastic, and also bring down usage of plastic water bottles, bags, ketchup packets, straws and other commodities. The members of Scouts and Guides have also educated the commuters on this topic outside the platform as well.

Flexi that reads 'say no to plastic' and 'avoid single use of plastic' grabbed attention of passengers. Meanwhile, the Nukkad Natak enacted by the Scouts and Guides impacted the crowd immensely.

"I am really impressed with the way Visakhapatnam Railways is taking such drastic measures to cut down the use of plastic. The railway station too paints a clean picture," says Anubhav Bhatia, a tourist from Kharagpur.
