Visakhapatnam: Padmashri awardee and former Chairman of ISRO A S Kiran Kumar visited NSTL here on Tuesday. He addressed the scientists and staff of NSTL and also students of NSTL Ramanath Secondary School and briefed about his journey in ISRO.
From the launch of Sounding Rockets at Thumba to Mangalyaan to Gaganyaan programme, the former Chairman covered various topics during his address. He said that achievements of India in space were possible due to Vikram Sarabhai's vision.
In his inspiring talk, he exhorted the students to carry forward the success of achievers and work towards reviving the nation's glory in the field of Science and Technology.
Director General, DRDO Samiv V. Kamat, Director, NSTL O.R. Nandagopan, officers and staff of NSTL and students attended the programme held at Mohapatra Manasi Auditorium.
