BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana criticised the YSRCP government for its failure to sell sand at lower price
Guntur: BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana criticised the YSRCP government for its failure to sell sand at lower price.
He visited sand stock point at Pedakakani in Guntur district on Friday along with party leaders and protested over the exorbitant price of sand.
Speaking on the occasion, he demanded that the government check activities of sand mafia. He recalled that the government had discussed sand issue in eight Cabinet meetings, in spite of that a truck-load of sand was being sold at Rs 40,000. He alleged that the government was encouraging sand mafia.
He also pointed out that the price of a tractor of sand has increased from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000.
He demanded that the government implement sand policy which was in force before 2014. Kanna said Jagan does not have grip on administration.
