Guntur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Challa Anuradha directed the officials to take steps to close the shops in the containment zones.

She visited Gunturivarithota, Ramireddythota, Nallacheruvu areas in Guntur city on Tuesday. She expressed ire on the officials for not setting up barricades at Nallacheruvu area where Covid-19 case was reported. She instructed the officials to take steps to close the shops and book the case against the traders who opened the shops. She instructed the officials to spray disinfectants.
She inspected sanitation at Ramireddythota. She warned that the GMC will impose Rs 500 penalty, if anybody dump garbage on the road and in the side drains.
GMC officials Venkata Ramana, biologist Obulu, sanitary supervisor Rambabu were among those accompanied her.
