Guntur: All the shops and business establishments, petrol bunks, cinema theaters, hotels, tea stalls were voluntarily closed in response to call given by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to check spread of Coronavirus.

The people observed Janata Curfew.

The APSRTC Guntur region has already cancelled the bus services. A petrol bunk run by the police department opened for emergency purposes in Guntur city. Auto rickshaws have no business due to cancellation of bus services. All the roads in the Guntur city wore a deserted look. When all the shops were closed, even milk packets were not available.

Medical shops and hospitals were opened for emergency purpose. All the temples were closed as a precautionary measure. Police stopped the vehicles of the youth riding the bikes on the busy roads. They urged the youth to stay indoors till the night and observe Janata Curfew. Police pickets were set up at all important centers.

Guntur rural SP Ch Vijaya Rao conducted the set conference and reviewed the Janata Curfew.

An auto-rickshaw driver Md Ismail said he had no business since morning. Same situation will continue till Sunday mid-night, he said.
