Guntur: Nomination papers received at ZP office

Guntur: Police made elaborate security arrangements at Zilla Parishad office in Guntur on Wednesday on the occasion of the last day for receiving nominations from the candidates contesting in the Zilla Parishad elections. Taking the number of nominations into consideration, they stopped the vehicles at gate of the Collectorate.

They set up barricades at the Zilla Parishad office. Guntur urban SP (Administration) D Gangadharam rushed to the spot and gave suggestions to the police officials on managing the crowds. There was a heavy rush at the Zilla Parishad office and it continued till 4 pm. Several YSRCP and TDP candidates came along with their followers and filed the nominations. All the contestants expressed confidence that they would win the elections with a comfortable majority.
