Guntur: Special pujas were offered to Lord Siva at all Siva temples seeking blessing of the lord on auspicious Karthika Somavaram and Karthika Paurnami. Special pujas like Eka Dasa Rudrabhishekam, Laksha Bilwarhana performed to Lord Siva and Abhishekams were performed in Sivalayams. Siva temples were reverberated with 'Om Nama Sivaya'.

Thousands of devotees visited Trikoteswara Swamy temple at Kotappakonda. Temple authorities performed special pujas to Lord Siva since 4 am.

Many devotees visited the temple seeking the blessings of the lord and offered prayers. The temple authorities set up special queue and decorated the temple on this occasion.

Police made elaborate security arrangements at the temple. Similarly, special pujas were performed to Lord Amaralingeswara Swamy at Amaravati.

Thousands of devotees visited Amaralingeswara Swamy temple at Amaravati and performed special pujas.

The temple authorities made necessary arrangements for the convenience of devotees. Women lit the lamps on the temple premises on the occasion. Amaralingeswara Swamy temple executive officer K Sunil Kumar said, "So far 15,000 devotees visited the temple seeking blessings of Lord Siva. We have set up special queue lines and provided necessary arrangements for the convenience of devotees visiting the temple."

Special pujas were performed to Lord Siva at Bramaramba Sameta Mallikarjuna Swamy temple in Pedakakani. Thousands of devotees visited the temple and performed pujas.

Similarly, special pujas were performed to Lord Siva in Guttikonda Bilam, Daida and other Siva temples in the district.
