Seen in long queues to board Golconda Express which resumes journey after a gap of almost 70 days

Guntur: Long queues were seen at Guntur railway station to board Golconda Express to go to Secunderabad on Monday.

The railway officials made elaborate arrangements at the railway station here to maintain social distance keeping in view outbreak of Covid-19.

They have asked the passengers to come to railway station 90 minutes before the scheduled time. They have given sanitiser to the passengers to clean the hands. Only after the thermal screening, the passengers were allowed to enter the railway station.

The railways have sanitised the platforms and coaches as a precautionary measure. They have drawn circles in the queue lines to ensure passengers maintained social distance. Similarly, they have also taken steps to maintain physical distance on the platforms too.

The passengers wearing masks came to the railway station.

The railway officials informed The Hans India that Golconda Express resumed the journey nearly after 70 days.

"We have strictly allowed the passengers with valid tickets into the railway station. We have asked the passengers to download Arogyasetu App. The officials and RPF strictly implemented the norms."
