Tirupati: With the intelligence alert from the Centre of few terrorists entering Tamil Nadu, Tirupati Urban police have sounded high alert in temple city on Friday and conducted surprise checks at various places including railway station, bus stand and local temples.
Urban SP KKN Anburajan directed the police personnel to conduct surprise checks at all busy places in Tirumala, Tirupati, Tiruchanur and Srikalahasti towns. Urban police have concentrated on main temples in Tirumala and Tirupati.
Bomb squad has conducted checks from the afternoon of the Friday continuously at various places in urban police district limits. The police personnel also inspected every suspicious vehicle and persons on the roads.
The SP Anburajan urged the locals to give immediate information to police through Dial 100 or 8099999977, if they would find any suspicious things or persons in their localities.
