Korukonda: Rudra Homam, Ayush Pooja and Lakshmi Ganapathi Homam were performed at Om Shiva Shakti Peetam at Gadarada village here on Wednesday, in connection with Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's week-long birthday celebrations.
Rajanagaram MLA and Kapu Corporation chairman Jakkampudi Raja and Rajamahendravaram city coordinator Srighakollapu Sivarama Subramanyam performed the poojas under the aegis of Peetam trustee and guru swamy Battula Bala Rama Krishna. The special poojas will be performed for one week.
Later, the duo said that the Chief Minister's birthday will be celebrated on a massive scale in Rajanagaram, Rajamahendravaram urban and rural constituencies. He was striving for the wellbeing of the people and development of the state. The people were happy under his able leadership, they averred.
Party leaders Karri Nageswara Rao, B Srihari, N Sri Nagesh, N Srinivas, MS Reddy, K Papa Raidu, PV Lakshmi, K Srinivas, B Gopala Krishna and others were present.
