Jagan has become a role model with Disha: Minister Taneti Vanitha
Minister for women and child welfare Taneti Vanitha said that Disha Act was a boon to the women which would shield them from harassment and injustice.
Rajamahendravaram: Minister for women and child welfare Taneti Vanitha said that Disha Act was a boon to the women which would shield them from harassment and injustice.
Participating in Power Walk conducted from Government College to Kambala tank in connection with International Women's Day here on Friday, Vanitha said Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was the only leader who brought such law in the country and all other states were trying to follow in his footsteps.
AP Women's Commission chairman Vasireddy Padma said Disha Act was a weapon in the hands of women and other states were taking Jagan Mohan Reddy as role model in this regard, who was particular at women protection.
Stating that the state was marching ahead in all fronts under the aegis of Jagan and underlined the need to extend support to him.
All women should raise their voice against the atrocities against them, she added.
MP Margani Bharat Ram, government college principal Rapaka David Kumar, hundreds of students and YSRCP leaders participated.
