Jana Senachief Pawan Kalyan that the issue relating to capital construction is not a child’s play.
Vijayawada: Jana Senachief Pawan Kalyan that the issue relating to capital construction is not a child's play. He ridiculed the state government's plans to shift capital from Amaravati and stated the farmers had given their lands for capital construction purpose, but not to any party.
Jana Sena doesn't accept to shift the capital by showing caste as reason. People of various communities, including Backward Classes and Scheduled Castes, gave their lands for capital construction. Hence, capital should not be relocated from the present place, he said.
He interacted with the farmers, landowners and agriculture workers of Amaravati capital villages at Jana Sena party office atMangalagiri on Saturday. On this occasion, he said that the Centre allocated Rs 1,500 crore for capital construction. Prime Minister Narendra Modifully aware about the capital city location and about fund allocation.
It should be kept in mind that opposing the capital means opposing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Home Amit Shah, he said. Pawan Kalyan also said that if the YSR Congress had won in 2014 elections, the capital city would have been established at Donakonda.
Now the YSR Congress has 151 MLAs. Even then, it is not acceptable to shift the capital city as per their wish, he said. The government should take action if there was any involvement of corruption, he said.
"I will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, if the State government does not change its stand on the capital shifting proposal", he said.
He also made sarcastic comments on Minister for Municipal Administration Botcha Satyanarayana. The Minister should be careful while making comments against others, Pawan said.
