Kadapa: Deputy Chief Minister Amzath Basha has urged the Muslim minorities to utilise the welfare schemes being implemented by the state government in a proper manner.

During his visit to Rayachoti town, the Deputy Chief Minister conducted a review meeting along with Government Chief Whip G Srikanth Reddy over the status of ongoing welfare schemes related to Muslim minorities in Rayachoti constituency on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that several Muslims were yet to avail the benefits of the welfare schemes due to lack of proper education.

In view of removing poverty, the government has implemented several welfare and development schemes in the interest of Muslim minorities, he pointed out.

He recalled that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has fulfilled all the assurances including the long-pending problems related to Wakf board properties given during 2019 electioneering despite severe financial hurdles. He urged the community to extend their cooperation to the government in implementing welfare schemes.
