Kakinada: Disha official inspects One Stop Centre
Disha Act Special Officer Dr Kritika Shukla inspecting Disha One Stop Centre in Kakinada on Thursday
Kakinada: Disha Act implementation Special Officer Dr Kritika Shukla along with Joint Collector-2 G Rajakumari inspected the Disha One Stop Center at the Government General Hospital here on Thursday and made suitable suggestions to the officials concerned on making its functioning more effective.
Kritika Shukla said that the Center was set up as a part of the Disha Act implementation to prevent atrocities against women especially the innocent girls. She said that the Disha Act was cleared in Andhra Pradesh on December 13. The State government was very much particular to implement Disha Act effectively in the state. She said that all services will be provided under one roof to the victims at the centre. According to a clause in the Act, trial in such cases needs to be completed within 14 days and the verdict must be pronounced within 21 days. She said that a woman Sub-Inspector would give protection to the victims and cases also be registered under Zero FIR category.
