Kakinada: State Women's Commission (SWC) member S Rajyalakshmi on Thursday warned of serious action against those who resort to domestic violence, dowry harassment and sexual abuse.

Acting on a complaint of Rekha Palli Satyavati of Lakkavaram village, Malkipuram mandal, that she was being tortured by her son, SWC member Rajyalakshmi met Satyavati at Konkapalli village in Amalapuram on Thursday.

Satyavati said that she has four daughters and one son and added that she was being tortured and forced out of the house by her son.

Acting on her complaint, Rajyalakshmi spoke to the Malikipuram Sub Inspector over phone and asked him to take steps to resolve the issue within three to four days.
