Kanyaka Parameswari birth anniversary fete on May 14

Vijayawada: Goddess Kanyaka Parameswari birth anniversary celebrations will be held on May 14 at KBN College. Vasavi club international Krishna district, Vijayawada Urban Arya Vysya Sangam, Sri Kanyaka Parameswari temple and other Arya Vysya organisations would jointly celebrate Kanyaka Parameswari birth anniversary celebrations, the programme coordinators K Vidyadhar Rao and V Vasudeva Rao said on Thursday.

Addressing the media, they said that 1008 women carrying Kalasham along with devotees would bring the Goddess Kanyaka Parameswari from kothagullu temple to KBN college on celestial chariot ride on May 14.

YCP leader Velampalli Srinivas would commence the celestial chariot ride. Later, there would be special pujas organised to mark the occasion. All the Arts Vysya organisations of Vijayawada would organise the celebration for the first time. All the members of the community would participate in the event, they said.
