KCR wants a puppet govt in AP: Chandrababu Naidu
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday suggested that should YSR Congress Party win the upcoming state Assembly elections, Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) would rule the state as backseat driver.
Visakhapatnam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday suggested that should YSR Congress Party win the upcoming state Assembly elections, Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) would rule the state as backseat driver. "KCR is supporting Jagan as he wants a puppet government in Andhra. If YSRCP wins, KCR will rule the state. So, don't vote for YSRCP," he observed, while addressing party leaders and cadre at a meeting here.
Naidu said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah are experts in cheating and betraying… Andhra Pradesh got injustice due to KCR and Prime Minister Modi. But Jagan has colluded with them and betraying the state… Do we need a person who killed his own uncle and destroyed all the evidences?"
"KCR comes to Visakhapatnam in the name of performing 'puja'. When KCR who had worked for me shows such attitude, how much attitude I should have? We have launched Mission 150+. We have to win all 25 MP seats in the state," asserted Naidu, while talking about Lok Sabha elections.
He continued, (Modi – KCR – Jagan) joined hands to take revenge on us. But we should not surrender. We have the spirit of NTR with us. He gave us the slogan of self-respect. I gave you the slogan of self-confidence. If anyone attacks our self-confidence, will we leave them?"
The Chief Minister called upon party workers to ensure the votes of every SHG member, pensioner, auto-driver and other beneficiaries of various welfare schemes and extend support to TDP in the upcoming elections.
Addressing district-level party workers and leaders in the city on Sunday, Naidu said that it is a historical necessity to retain power in the state in the forthcoming elections. It is not just the question of coming to power in the state, the cadre should strive to bag all the 25 Lok Sabha seats to be able to play a vital role in selecting the Prime Minister candidate at the Centre.
Questioning opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's credentials, Naidu pointed out that if he comes to power, law and order would be in the hands of a criminal. "I am developing the State and creating assets. But he (Jagan Mohan Reddy) is trying to spoil the State. What happened in Pulivendula day before yesterday? His paternal uncle was allegedly murdered at 5.30 am. However, he tried to create the cause of death as cardiac arrest and till 9.30 am no complaint was made to the police.
They cleared the blood stains and other witnesses deliberately. Now, they are alleging the TDP. The people of Visakhapatnam are aware of Jagan Mohan Reddy's criminal track record and defeated YS Vijayamma in the 2014 elections," Naidu said. The TDP is strong with its 65 lakh-strong membership. There are 95 lakh women SHGs and 50 lakh pensioners, among others, who are committed to giving a clear mandate to the TDP.
During his one-hour-long address Chandrababu Naidu detailed the outcomes of his government's welfare schemes and developmental programmes over the past five years. He assured to continue 'Pasupu-Kumkuma' in the next five years also and claimed it as a gift from the elder brother of Andhra Pradesh family.
