20 injured as family members indulge in clashes over land passage row

Kurnool: A land passage row between family members led to attack with sticks and sickles among them and the incident took place at RS Pendekal village in Thuggali mandal of Pathikonda constituency on Saturday. In the attack, 20 people from both sides suffered serious injuries and of them three persons are in critical state. The police on learning about the incident rushed to the village and pacified the issue.

According to information, Nagabushnam and Sudhakar are uncle and nephew (sister son). They are having lands adjacently. Nagabushnam has 40 acres and Sudhakar has 3.5 acres. With the rains lashing the district Sudhakar sowed seeds in his 3.5 acres. To reach his land, Sudhakar has to pass through Nagabushnam's land.

Sometime ago, they had some clashes and since then the duo were having grudges on each other. Nagabhushanam raised objection for Sudhakar passing through his lands. He entered Sudhakar's land and destroyed the seedlings. When Sudhakar and his family members questioned why he did like that, a heated argument took place between them resulting in the attack. The family members after forming into two groups have attacked each other with sticks and sickles.

In the attack, 20 persons from both sides have suffered injuries. Of them, three persons were critically injured. All the injured were shifted to Pathikonda General Hospital for treatment. The critically injured were taken to Kurnool Government General Hospital.

The Circle Inspector of Pathikonda, A Adinarayana Reddy rushed to the village and took stock of the situation. Based on the complaint lodged by both groups, a case was filed and investigation is under way.
