Man attacks 3 women with knife
Three women K Sarada, P Kantamma and P Varalakshmi sustained serious injuries when a man G Elisha (their relative) attacked them with a knife on Friday.
Machilipatnam: Three women K Sarada, P Kantamma and P Varalakshmi sustained serious injuries when a man G Elisha (their relative) attacked them with a knife on Friday. Elisha went to residence of Sarada who is mother-in-law of one G Mahesh and demanded for excess dowry which was promised to Mahesh by Sarada.
During the course of argument, Elisha attacked Sarada with a knife and injured her seriously. Sarada's mother P Kantamma and grandmother P Varalakshmi came to her rescue. Elisha attacked them also. Sarada was seriously injured and was rushed to New Government General Hospital, Vijayawada for treatment.
On receiving information, the police swung into action and shifted the injured to the hospitals. The victims lodged a complaint against Elisha with the Bandar police. A case was registered and investigation is on, said the Bandar DSP Mahaboob Basha.
