Man kills wife, commits suicide over illegal affair in Karnataka

Bengaluru: In a tragic incident, a man has killed his wife, committed suicide over an illegal affair in Karnataka.

Going into details, Dr Revanth and his wife Kavitha resides at Kadur in Chikkamagaluru district. The couple has two children. Dr Revanth runs a dental clinic at Birur. In this context, Revanth has developed an extramarital affair with Harshita (32), a fashion designer in Bengaluru.

With this, Harshita pressures Revanth to come and stay with her. On this month 17th, Kavitha died under the suspicious condition, and Revanth approached Kadur police station and lodged a complaint that someone has killed his wife.

Upon receiving the complaint, the police filed a case and shifted the body to the hospital for post-mortem. On Thursday, the police got the autopsy report, which states that Kavitha was killed by injecting a poisonous drug.

Over the report, the police have inquired Revanth, and in fear of arrest, he has committed suicide on the railway track near Bandikoppalu on Friday night. Before that, he called Harshita and told her that he is going to commit suicide, and within a few minutes, she also committed suicide. On the incident, the police have registered a case and investigating further.
