Says RBI report revealed that investments up to `1.80 lakh crore reversed from the State
Mangalagiri: Former minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao said that the failure of Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy to place the memoranda he submitted separately to the Prime Minister and other Union ministers is giving scope to several doubts. He asked as to why the Chief Minister is hesitating to make public his representations to the Central leaders.
Addressing media at TDP headquarters here on Saturday, he said the TDP government was able to achieve third place in attracting investments of Rs 70,000 crore during 2018-19. The RBI itself revealed that investments up to Rs 1.80 lakh crore was reversed from the State, he pointed out. Without mentioning this, Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy has been repeatedly raising the issue of 'insider trading' in Amaravati capital region, he said. Devineni alleged that the State government was trying to stall the progress of Central educational institutions to protect the interests of Vignan University. The finance minister failed to speak on financial crisis in the state so far, he pointed out.
Devineni said that the State government failed to protect the interests of farmers and paddy, chilli and subabul farmers were expressing concern over lack of minimum support price for their produce.
MLC P Ashok Babu came down heavily on the YSRCP-owned media for publishing reports damaging the image of TDP leaders. He warned that if the media house continued to publish false reports against the TDP leaders, they will take to legal course.
He said that the media house has been trying to tarnish the image of party supremo N Chandrababu Naidu.
Former MLA T Sravankumar also criticised the Sakshi media for its mudslinging reports on Chandrababu Naidu and other TDP leaders. He said that the media house was trying to damage the image of Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh. He said that the media, which is not following journalistic ethics should be banned.
