Minister Anil Kumar Yadav slams Chandrababu, says schemes turned to scam in his regime
During TDP rule, Chandrababu Naidu turned his welfare schemes into scams and is thereby getting frustrated over the arrest of his party leaders, said Minister for Water Resources K Anil Kumar Yadav.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, the minister slammed Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh for supporting those accused of corruption. Neither Chandrababu nor Lokesh dared to pay a visit to AP for the last three months fearing the pandemic and were least bothered about the public. But all of a sudden, Lokesh visited Tadipatri to pacify the family members of JC Prabhakar Reddy who was arrested on corruption charges, while Naidu hosted a candlelight rally standing up for the accused, he said.
Meanwhile, Minister Anil Kumar lambasted Lokesh for making statements like, "We are noting down everything and we will pay back to the ruling party with an interest."
The minister said, "There is no future for TDP in the State and asked who would pay back with interest? Instead of taking responsibility for the scams that took place in their government, TDP members are playing caste politics by provoking BCs. There is no separate law for BCs and OCs. It is shameful of Naidu and Lokesh standing by the accused who was charged with Rs 150 crore scam dealing with employees health, while the other was plying buses with forged documents. It is Naidu who had asked to prove the corruption charges and the State government is conducting investigation, wherein facts are being unveiled."
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made a promise to the public during elections that strict action will be taken against the corrupt and today as per the Indian Constitution, action is being taken against the accused, he added.
