MLA orders to prepare report on municipal issues
Bhimavaram MLA Garndhi Srinivas has ordered the Municipal Commissioner to prepare a comprehensive report on municipal issues and the problems being faced by the denizens.
Bhimavaram: Bhimavaram MLA Garndhi Srinivas has ordered the Municipal Commissioner to prepare a comprehensive report on municipal issues and the problems being faced by the denizens. The MLA on Tuesday discussed various issues of Municipality, mainly the development of town with the Municipal Commissioner N Amaraiah at the local MLA's office.
He enquired about the AMRUTH scheme and asked how much funds were released for implementation of the schemes and for the works in the town. Similarly, the MLA asked the commissioner to supply adequate drinking water to slum areas and suburbs. Sanitation works should be improved, he told the commissioner.
In the wake of ensuing rainy season, all main drains in the town to be cleaned and desiltation works to be taken up as early as possible, he asserted. He further said that he would convene a meeting to discuss the drainage woks.
