Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of being a "chowkidar for criminals".
At a press conference here, Naidu, while referring to the report sent by Karnal Singh, Director Enforcement Directorate, to the Central Bureau of Investigations in 2017 in the quid pro case relating to allotment of land for Hindujas in Kukatpally area of Hyderabad, said the ED had established the crime and had asked CBI to take action. He explained that the money was transferred to Jagan-owned companies from Indu Projects through shell companies located in Kolkata.
The Chief Minister said, "GOCL Corporation Ltd, a Hinduja Group company routed its own money to Indu Projects which were further routed through shell companies to Yaga Associates and finally reached GOCL Corporation. As quid pro quo agreement, the Hinduja group transferred 11.10 acres.
Yet, Modi who claims to be the biggest chowkidar, chose to turn a blind eye and has chosen to protect criminals. The Chief Minister said Modi, who in the 2014 polls wanted the people of Andhra Pradesh to decide if they wanted 'Swarna Andhra' or 'Scam Andhra', was now supporting "scamsters and harassing those who were questioning him for his failure to keep his promises."
Naidu said Jagan and his team have demonstrated clearly that they have great creativity and innovation in committing big crimes and falling at the feet of Modi and KCR to escape from the cases. They were not only flouting the law of land, but also cheating the people, he said.Cautioning people to be alert, Naidu said even one vote to YSRCP would amount to writing out your own death warrant.
While the slogan of TDP is "your future is my responsibility", the YSRCP slogan is "my future is your responsibility". "If he (Jagan) comes to power; rest assured, he will stop Polavaram and all developmental activities to save himself from his cases. Having incompetent chief minister may not be so dangerous but having a criminal as chief minister would lead to converting AP into a subservient state of TS. The trio -- Modi, KCR and Jagan are leaving no stone unturned to damage the brand image and it is now for people to act and put a check on their activities," he observed.
Naidu said: "the fan (symbol of YSRCP) wants to come to power in AP, but the switch is in Hyderabad and the fuse is in Delhi." Naidu said there is another "Mahanayakudu called KCR". He does not see the irregularities in the quid pro case but shows overenthusiasm in demolishing the boundary wall of the AP DGP's house, despite a stay from the court. This clearly once again establishes the nexus between Modi, KCR and Jagan and is aided by Bihari (poll strategist) called Prashant Kishore.
