More fire stations to come up in State: Mekatoti Sucharitha
Minister for Home Mekatoti Sucharitha said that the State government will construct some more fire stations additionally after examining the proposals.
Vijayawada: Minister for Home Mekatoti Sucharitha said that the State government will construct some more fire stations additionally after examining the proposals. She inaugurated the fire station at Arundalpet in Vijayawada city on Saturday. On this occasion, she said that as many as 184 fire stations are in the State.
She also said that there are some demands to start new fire stations and the State government will take a decision in this regard soon. The fire incidents have come down drastically as the governments introduced housing schemes.
But the government was taking all precautions to prevent fire mishaps, she said. The Home Minister also said that she will bring the problems of the department to the notice of the Chief Minister.
She said that staff recruitment would be completed as early as possible. DG Fire Services AR Anuradha, Commissioner of Police Dwaraka Tirumala Rao and other officials were also present.
