Vijayawada: AP Women's Commission chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari submitted her resignation to Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan.

She met the Governor at Raj Bhavan here on Wednesday. Speaking to the media on the occasion, she said that she had submitted her resignation as it was her moral responsibility with the formation of a new government in the State. She also said that she had submitted three years report of the Commission to the Governor.

She said that the Governor also appreciated her efforts towards women protection. She said that she had done justice to the needy women. She hoped that better security measures would be introduced at hostels. The family system should be strengthened in the society by creating awareness among the people, she said.
