Nine candidates file nominations on last day
Jatti Gurunadharao of Congress and Chinnam Ramakotaiah of BJP are among nine persons who filed nominations for Eluru Lok Sabha constituency here on Monday. Collector and RO Praveen Kumar administered oath of election code to the candidates individually.

The RO said that the scrutiny of nominations will take place on Tuesday. Election symbols would be allotted to the candidates on March 28. He informed the candidates that the expenditure limit for the candidates is Rs 70 lakh.
The candidates should submit details of poll expenditure to the Election Commission from time to time. The Election Commission has made arrangement to display photograph of candidates in the ballot paper, he said. Election observer Devdut Sarma monitored the filing of nominations by candidates.
