NSS demonstrates self-defence for girls
The NSS volunteers of Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha Engineering College conducted awareness programmes on career counseling and self-defense at Boyapati Sivaramakrishna Municipal High School, Mogalrajapuram here on Saturday.
Vijayawada: The NSS volunteers of Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha Engineering College conducted awareness programmes on career counseling and self-defense at Boyapati Sivaramakrishna Municipal High School, Mogalrajapuram here on Saturday.
The volunteers carried out carrier guidance programme for Class X students and self-defence for girl students. They explained about various courses the students could pursue in Intermediate and later how they can further continue their carrier and various job opportunities they get.
They also gave awareness to the girls on how to protect themselves when someone attacks them. Live demonstration was given to create confidence in the girls. Speaking oh the occasion, headmaster Nagaraju appreciated the efforts of the NSS volunteers.
Another group of volunteers visited Komma Sitaramaiah Zilla Parishad Girls High School and gave about 150 geometry boxes to the students of Class X. The whole programme was monitored by Dr Kolla Narendra of the college.
