Ongole: Former director of the Balaji Institute of Surgery, Research, and Rehabilitation for the Disabled (BIRRD) Hospital, Tirupati, Dr Gudaru Jagadish joined hands with Ramesh Sanghamitra Hospital to offer the best treatment to orthopaedic patients in the district, announced the management of the hospital on Wednesday.

Dr K Harikumar Reddy, chief operating officer of the hospital announced that they are bringing experts in all departments to provide the best and affordable treatment to the people in the region and informed that Dr Jagadish would bring in his vast experience and skills to guide the already expert team available in the orthopedic department.

Dr Jagadish said that he is regularly conducting camps for patients in the Prakasam district for a long time and is conducting surgeries for the required for free under the Arogyasri scheme. He said that the modular operation theatres at the Ramesh Sanghamitra Hospital and the collaboration request from the management convinced him to associate with them.

He said that the fluoride issue in the Prakasam district is causing many orthopedic problems to the locals, but many of them can be treated under the Arogyasri program. He announced that they would use the latest models of implants for the surgeries like knee replacement, hip joint replacement, etc along with the critical surgeries in trauma care treatment.

He announced that they are planning to develop the Ramesh Sanghamitra Hospital as an academic institute also to train PG students in the future. He also announced that his association with the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Research, Rehabilitation for Disabled (VIRRD), in Dwaraka Tirumala would also continue in the future.

The hospital management and doctors from orthopedic and neurosurgery departments including Dr I Venkateswara Reddy, Dr Raveendra Reddy, Dr Vamsi Krishna, Dr Mahesh also participated in the press meet.
