Ongole: Nominations submission for local bodies begin

Ongole: The candidates from various parties started to submit their nominations for the ZPTC and MPTC constituencies in the Prakasam district from the first day, on Monday.

For the 55 ZPTC positions to be conducted election in the district, the returning officer received 6 applications on the first day.

In them, there are three candidates from YSRCP, one each from TDP and BJP while one independent also submitted the nomination papers. For the 713 MPTCs to be elected, the ROs received nominations from 43 candidates on Monday. The YSRCP candidates submitted 21 nominations while 18 nominations received from TDP candidates, one from BJP candidate, one from other parties and two from independent candidates.
