Ongole: Staff from 300 bank branches participate in the strike
About 2000 employees from 300 bank branches in the Prakasam district participated in the strike following the call given by the United Forum of Bank Unions demanding 20 per cent of the hike by implementing 11th pay scale revision, on Friday.
Ongole: About 2000 employees from 300 bank branches in the Prakasam district participated in the strike following the call given by the United Forum of Bank Unions demanding 20 percent of the hike by implementing 11th pay scale revision, on Friday. The banker's associations leaders and staff announced that about Rs 10000 crores business was affected due to the strike in the district.
The UFBU convener V Ramachandra Rao, AIBOA leaders PK Rajeswara Rao, AIBEA leader U Venugopal, AIBOC leaders V Srinivasa Rao, R Sambasiva Rao, BEFI leader Ch Sobhan Babu, NCBE leader Vijay Mohan and other trade union leaders also spoke in the protest held at the Andhra Bank in Nellore Bus Stand centre.
They said that though the 11th pay scale should be implemented from November 2017, the Indian Banks Association and the union government are not taking a favourable decision.
