Ongole: The migrant workers who are on their way home at West Bengal from Tamil Nadu in a special bus escaped death miraculously when the vehicle they are traveling has lost control and overturned near Ongole. When the police are clearing the traffic, another accident, a private bus with no passengers in it, hit a diesel lorry in front of it. Almost at the same time in the morning, another accident happened in which a lorry rammed into an auto-rickshaw carrying agriculture workers. All of the victims were shifted to the Government General Hospital in Ongole for treatment.

About 14 migrant workers, natives of West Bengal are traveling to their home on a bus with registered number TN18AS7767 from Tamil Nadu. They started on Tuesday night and reached Gundlapalli Growth Center near Ongole at around 4.30 AM on Wednesday morning. The sleepy driver Abhilash Ravi lost control of the speeding bus on the NH 16 and hit a road safety signboard and overturned. Two people on the bus received minor injuries while the remaining people are escaped unhurt. While the high patrol and Maddipadu police are clearing the traffic, a private bus with registered number AP26TE4111 traveling from Nellore to Guntur hit an oil tanker with registered number of AP03TE8716 going in front of it. The bus driver E Suresh received minor injuries on the head and fingers of hand while the diesel started leaking from the tanker.

At almost the same time, around 05.00 AM, an auto-rickshaw with registered number AP27W6895, which started with 13 women agriculture workers from Nelaturu in Maddipadu mandal to Obannapalem in Naguluppalapadu mandal involved in an accident at Seetharamapuram junction in Maddipadu mandal. A speeding lorry, with registered number AP16TQ1419 hit the auto-rickshaw from behind on the NH 16, severely injuring B Madhavi and A Soudhamini, who sat on the backside of the vehicle.

The Maddipadu police registered the three cases and started the investigation after shifting the injured to the Government General Hospital on Ongole.
