RPF celebrates 35th Raising Day in Visakhapatnam
Railway Protection Force (RPF), Waltair Division celebrated its 35th Raising Day with fervour at the RPF parade grounds here on Sunday.
Visakhapatnam: Railway Protection Force (RPF), Waltair Division celebrated its 35th Raising Day with fervour at the RPF parade grounds here on Sunday. It was celebrated to commemorate the conferring of the Armed Force status on RPF on par with the other paramilitary forces of the Union of India on September 20, 1985.
Senior Divisional Commissioner, RPF, Visakhapatnam, Jitendra Srivastava lauded the outstanding performance of the RPF personnel for their tremendous contributions in rendering yeomen service to the passengers and the stakeholders.
As part of the celebrations, the RPF organised a blood donation camp, cleanlinessdrive, Sainik Sammelan, distribution of fruits to 135 inmates of Boys Home, Arilova and Girls Home near Visakha Valley School, tree plantation programme, awareness session on the security helpline 182, among others. A number of RPF personnel took part in the drive, including Assistant Security Commissioner (Visakhapatnam), RPF, K.P James.
