Nellore: Former minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy described the High Court direction on Polavaram contract a "slap on the face" of the government and advised it to change its policy taking into consideration of the court's ruling.

Interacting with the media here on Thursday, Chandramohan Reddy said that it is unfair on the part of the state government to windup all works and projects which were started during the TDP rule.

"The High Court's decision is in fact a slap on the face of state government which has been taking extreme anti-people decisions for the past two months.

Dismissing the notice of the government and continuing the contract is not an ordinary issue.

It is unfortunate that the government is obsessed to defame the leader of opposition and dismantling what he has done. Many projects in the state have been stalled due to these senseless policies," he said.
