Sand supply process made easy: MLA
Kovur MLA Nallapureddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy said that the state government has taken measures to supply sand to the needy people without difficulty.
Nellore: Kovur MLA Nallapureddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy said that the state government has taken measures to supply sand to the needy people without difficulty. He participated in the Sand Week Fest at the sand stock point located close to Jonnawada in BR Palem Mandal on Thursday and flagged off the distribution activity.
Nellore RDO SK Hussain Saheb said that the state government issued orders to increase the quarrying of sand. He said measures will be taken to increase quarrying sand up to 5,000 tonnes from the current level of 2,500 tonnes per day. Assistant Director of Mines and geology department K Venkateswar Reddy said that now 8 reaches are functional out of 12 located in the district. DGM of the APMDC M Venkataramana, Deputy Tahasildar Tulasimala and others were present.
