Sharada College donates for Kaveri cause

Vijayawada: Sharada College chairman Dr Y Ramesh Babu said that people were destroying the natural resources for their self benefits which would leave its effect on the coming generations.
He spoke at a programme on 'Kaveri Calling' here on Thursday and said that with human made mistakes people are facing troubles and natural calamities for which the government was also equally responsible. He said that the management of the Sharada College had donated 3,300 saplings of Rs 42 each to Isha Foundation. The foundation planted 242 crore saplings to bring old glory to Kaveri river.
College Director Y Bharat said for the development, the government and the people from any place or state or country should feel the responsibility to protect the environment. The initiative taken up by Isha Foundation would give good results in future.
He said that the people should cultivate a habit to plant a sapling before starting any work for a better tomorrow. College Adviser ESRK Prasad, general manager GV Rao, students and others were present.
