SP motivates students, assures safety
The Prakasam district superintendent of police Siddharth Kaushal visited various colleges and interacted with the students and the public in the Ongole town on Tuesday.
Ongole: The Prakasam district superintendent of police Siddharth Kaushal visited various colleges and interacted with the students and the public in the Ongole town on Tuesday. As part of the community policing, Siddharth visited the Nagarjuna Degree College, Harshini Degree College and Umamaheswara College and interacted with the girl students.
He inquired them about incidents of eve-teasing or any other issues in the area. He said that the women police will be made available to them and assured that their safety is a priority to the police department. He encouraged them to have knowledge on the history and develop general knowledge apart from their classwork.
He interacted with the students playing at the PVR High School grounds and women learning motor vehicle driving. He said that a football or cricket competition will be planned in the ground soon.
He inspected the SC Boys' hostel and assured their issues will be resolved by taking them to the concerned officials. The SP visited the Balaram Colony and asked the women about any security issues. The Ongole in-charge DSP M Balasundara Rao, traffic DSP K Venugopal and other officials also participate in the programme.
