Special drive mooted to check school buses: SP S Senthil Kumar
In order to check the working condition of the school buses, college buses, and the autos in which the students are being carried , a special drive has been initiated for checking all the vehicles in the district, says SP S Senthil Kumar.
Chittoor: In order to check the working condition of the school buses, college buses, and the autos in which the students are being carried , a special drive has been initiated for checking all the vehicles in the district, says SP S Senthil Kumar. Stringent action would be taken against the defaulting drivers and the managements of the buses if failed to submit the prescribed documents, he warned.
Speaking to the mediamen here on Tuesday, SP said that many of the drivers of the schools , colleges and educational institutions did not possess the needed skills for driving the vehicles. Police would thoroughly check the vehicles.
He made it clear that stringent action would be taken against the drivers and the managements for operating defective vehicles. He appealed the management of the schools to check the working conditions of their vehicles. The drivers should produce the registration certificate, Insurance documents, driving licenses, and the fitness certificate issued by transport department.
