Bhimavaram: Special officer for Bhimavaram Municipality and Joint Collector M Venugopala Reddy inspected various development works in the town on Wednesday.
He asked the officials to expedite and complete all works taken up under AMRUT scheme. During the inspection, he questioned the officials over the stagnation of water in drains. He directed them to give top priority to sanitation.
The officials should take special care on sanitation in the monsoon. Because of stagnation of water in drains, foul smell emanates besides growth of mosquitoes and spread of diseases. Municipal Commissioner N Amaraiah and engineering officials accompanied the special officer.
