Speculation rife on Ganta joining BJP in Vizag
Former HRD minister and TDP Vizag North constituency MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao plans to shift gears if talk about his moving close to the BJP are of any indication.
Visakhapatnam: Former HRD minister and TDP Vizag North constituency MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao plans to shift gears if talk about his moving close to the BJP are of any indication.
The MLA, who abstained from attending TDP events of late, is said to have been exploring opportunities to join the national party. It is learnt that he has been holding discussions with the BJP leaders in New Delhi for the past couple of days. According to sources, the MLA met BJP general secretary Ram Madhav along with others.
Sources say that former TDP leaders and Rajya Sabha members Y Sujana Chowdary and C M Ramesh are helping Ganta on board. Once he finds his sailing towards this direction smooth, Ganta is in all likelihood is expected to put in his papers as TDP North Visakhapatnam MLA.
In addition, speculation is rife that a few more TDP leaders intending to follow suit along with the MLA. However, BJP MLC P V N Madhav maintains that nothing official has been announced so far about Ganta switching sides.
