With the massive defeat in the last assembly elections one side and chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy who is going aggressive in concern with Administration, the TDP has not got any chance to compete with powerful YSRCP. The TDP is striving hard to get back into the business, but with just 23 MLA's remaining in the assembly and the council being dissolved has fetched them disastrous situation ever in the history after the party's inception.

Following all these developments, there is speculation rife on the change of party president of the Telugu Desam Party. If the reports are to be believed the former chief minister Chandrababu is very keen to strengthen the party in coming days. In this backdrop, Naidu has reportedly decided to change the party president. The names of some of the key leaders are said to be in consideration for this plum post.

The senior leader of Srikakulam district and former minister Acchennaidu's name is strongly heard for the presidential post. Yet, Babu is cautious about controversies if Acchennaidu is made president as his family members are holding MP and MLA posts. However, there are a bunch of leaders in the race. Another leader Kimi Kaila Venkatrao, who is now the president of the TDP said to be inactive as he lost in the last elections from Etcherla in Srikakulam district.

Chandrababu, who recently appointed a former MLA Anitha as the TDP's female president, is expected to replace a few more key positions in the state-level committee's. There is a demand to make Rammohan Naidu as the Youth President while Paritala Sriram's name is also heard for the youth president post. However, the time has to tell what changes Naidu is going to make.
