Srisailam temple board clears key decisions for Dasara

Srisailam: The 11th meeting of the Srisaila Devasthanam Dharmakartha Mandali, chaired by Board Chairman Potugunta Ramesh Naidu and attended by Executive Officer M Srinivasa Rao, approved 18 out of 20 agenda items on Wednesday.

The board comprehensively reviewed arrangements for the upcoming Dasara festivities commencing October 11, prioritizing common pilgrim convenience.

Highlighting spiritual highlights, the board resolved to conduct a Sahasra Chandi Sahita Maharudra Homam for universal welfare—organized for the first time during Dasara.

Cultural programmes, live telecasts, and grand illumination works were also greenlit.

Furthermore, Rs. 3.20 crore was allocated for development works at the adopted Kolanubharathi Saraswathi Ammavari temple, covering mandapam construction, permanent queue lines, and sanitation.

To enhance pilgrim comfort, the board announced that no user charges will be collected for toilets within temple limits, and approved Rs. 10 lakh for Nandiswara Dormitory repairs.

Embracing administrative modernization, the board resolved to integrate all temple CCTV cameras with Artificial Intelligence systems to optimize crowd and traffic regulation.

Additionally, the Devasthanam will take over direct management of the local IOCL petrol bunk starting December 10 to better serve devotees.
