Points out that the government failed to take forward Polavaram works during the last four months

Vijayawada: BJP MP Y Sujana Chowdary criticised the State government for not implementing the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) reservation in the State.

He continued his Mahatma Gandhi Sankalp Yatra from Kanchikacherla in Krishna district on the second day on Wednesday. On the occasion, he said that Mahatma Gandhi had a dream to establish a society with no place for discrimination.

He deplored that the political parties in the country had been instigating people on caste basis. The BJP introduced EWS reservation for poorer sections without any discrimination but the State government did not implement in the State.

He said the BJP would fight against the undemocratic policies of the YSR Congress in the State. He said the YSR Congress government was acting as per its whims and fancies violating the democratic norms.

The MP also criticised the State government for its failure to take forward the Polavaram works during the last four months. The development should be continued whoever comes to power, he said.

He alleged that the regional political party came to power in the State with money earned in dubious ways. He called upon people not to believe their false promises. The MP also recalled that former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao had established a regional party for protecting the interests of the country. The BJP, which started with two seats earlier, finally came to power at the Centre.

The BJP would also come to power in the State in a similar manner.

Sujana said Prime Minister Narendra Modi with his policies was bringing international glory to the nation.

The MP asserted that now the countries all over the world were evincing interest to forge friendly ties with India. The country celebrated real Independence after the scrapping of Article 370, he said. Several BJP leaders accompanied the former Union Minister.
