Vizianagaram: TDP leaders on Thursday staged a candle rally at clock tower road protesting the murder of a dalit girl in Anantapur district.

Party constituency in-charge P Aditi Gajapathi Raju has led the rally with candles, in which huge number of women also participated. Speaking on the occasion, she stated that there was no safety for women in the present YSRCP government.

It may be recalled that a dalit girl Sneha Latha was allegedly murdered by her stalker after she refused his advances in Anantapur. Paying tributes to the girl, she demanded the government to take serious action on the accused and sought the government to support the family of deceased girl. Party district general secretary I V P Raju also participated in the candle rally.
