Tirupati: The APSPDCL CMD H Harinath Rao said that department personnel should maintain safety standards during the working in field. He inspected various power lines maintenance works at Balaji Colony, Mangalam areas in Tirupati city on Monday.
In this connection, CMD stressed that officials should take care about safety standards in maintenance works, for this company is taking all the supportive measures.
He told that SPDCL is supplying safety kits like safety belt , poll climber, earth rod, hand gloves to field staff for their safety.
Already SPDCL had conducted training classes to staff concerned how to take up maintenance works by following safety standards, he said.
A few staff and officials are neglecting the departmental instructions pertaining to maintaining safety standards, he added. In the inspection, company director T Vanaja was also present.
