The Women studies department of Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV) has donated Rs.18,000 worth of essential commodities and vegetables to 30 families in Bhagyanagar ST Colony of Tirupati rural mandal on Saturday.

Tirupati: The Women studies department of Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV) has donated Rs.18,000 worth of essential commodities and vegetables to 30 families in Bhagyanagar ST Colony of Tirupati rural mandal on Saturday. Following the call given by the Vice-Chancellor Prof D Jamuna, Rector Prof K Sandhya Rani and Registrar Prof DM Mamatha, the faculty took up the initiative. Prof G Sandhya Rani, Dr P Neeraja, Dr P Madhavi and Dr M Padmavathi took part in the programme and created awareness to the people on the importance of using masks and following social distancing.

The non-teaching employees association of SPMVV has distributed 300 packets of vegetables to the residents of Padmavathi Nagar red zone area, Perur panchayat, Gandhipuram Colony, SV Nagar areas and to the sanitary staff working at the university.
